Bought two bundles for our rescue dogs. With the steering leads, neither of them pulls any more and nothing gets tangled round my legs. It used to be a chaotic nightmare; now it's my favourite part of the day.
Designed to stop pulling and make walks relaxed and comfortable – without putting strain on the neck or shoulders.

“This harness is my top choice because the front-clip gently steers your dog to stop pulling without straining their spine or restricting their stride.”Dr. Sarah JenkinsDVM

No. Back-clip harnesses work like a sled harness. TrueStride clips to the chest and the back, so when your dog surges they're gently turned back towards you. Think handlebars, not a sled.
No. The back clip keeps the harness straight and centred, the Y-shape rests on the breastbone well below the throat, and the padded straps sit clear of the front legs.
Then we swap it, free. Measure around the widest part of the ribcage, about 5 cm behind the front legs:
In between? Go one size up. Four adjustment points let you fine-tune the fit, and if it's still not right, email us and we'll send another size at no cost.
Then you get your money back. Use it on your real daily walks for 30 days. If walks aren't noticeably calmer, email help@snoeff.com and we'll refund you in full.
Strong puller or chewer? It's built for big, strong dogs. If a buckle, ring or stitch ever gives way, we replace it free under our lifetime warranty. No harness is chew-proof, so take it off when your dog's unsupervised.

Two quick questions. A rough guess is fine.

I'm back in control of my dog on walks. With his old collar he pulled really hard, and it didn't sound good for his neck and throat either. Now, with this no-pull harness, walks are so much more relaxed. He trots along happily beside me and corrects himself when he pulls. What a relief!
I'm so pleased with this TrueStride harness. I've got a big, strong dog and I can correct him with ease. Nothing else will do for me now.
My girlfriend was regularly pulled off her feet by her dog. With this harness that doesn't happen any more. On top of that, there's far less strain on her dog's neck than with a normal collar. My own dog has one now too. Very happy.
Works really well. You have much better control over your dog with it. Thanks to this plus some behaviour training, I no longer dread walking the dog now winter's on its way. I could barely hold her back before – I'd fallen a few times and been dragged along, and had to sit on the ground just to stop her.
Finally a harness that doesn't rub anywhere. The soft padding sits nicely well back from his front legs, so his armpits stay in perfect condition, even after long walks in the woods. No more red patches or irritation.
Why walks with TrueStride feel calmer straight away – for you and your dog.
The moment your dog lunges forward, the chest ring calmly redirects that force to the side. Your dog automatically turns a quarter-turn towards you without you having to pull back, so the constant pulling stops straight away.
Unlike a collar, this harness doesn't touch the sensitive neck area. Any tension is spread widely across the strong breastbone. The windpipe, thyroid and neck vertebrae stay 100% free, so your dog can keep breathing calmly.
Dogs don't have a collarbone; their front legs need room to swing freely forward. The deep Y-cut sits neatly around the shoulder joints, so your dog keeps their natural stride without a stiff strap pressing against the bones.
What you do (and don't) get with the usual alternatives.

Sturdy metal rings on the chest and back redirect pulling force to the side straight away. That gives you maximum control and stops the harness shifting.
The shaped chest piece safely takes all the pulling force on the strong breastbone, so the throat, thyroid and neck vertebrae stay completely pressure-free.
Soft, breathable padding with rounded edges prevents rubbing and heat build-up. Stays soft and comfy, however long the walk.
The rugged D-rings and extra-thick buckles take the hardest jolts in their stride. Built to last, with no risk of snapping or breaking.
Lots of people try to fix pulling by clipping an ordinary lead to the front chest ring only. When the dog lunges hard, the whole harness gets dragged to one side, digging into the armpit and throwing your dog off balance.
With the included adjustable training lead, you clip one hook to the chest (for subtle steering) and one to the back (to keep the harness centred). Just like the handlebars on a bike, two fingers are all you need for gentle control. The harness stays perfectly straight and your dog instantly feels which way you're heading – no pulling or yanking.

When a walk starts with a wrestling match at the front door, you're both already wound up before you've even set off.
Putting on a harness shouldn't be a daily battle where you're squeezing front legs through tight loops while your dog tries to wriggle away.
That's why we designed TrueStride to be as easy as it gets: slip the comfy neck opening gently over the head and clip the two side buckles shut. No acrobatics, no faff. In 5 seconds you're out the door, calm and hassle-free, ready for a lovely walk.

Bought two bundles for our rescue dogs. With the steering leads, neither of them pulls any more and nothing gets tangled round my legs. It used to be a chaotic nightmare; now it's my favourite part of the day.

Two months ago a cheap Amazon buckle snapped at a busy crossroads. Never again. I checked the TrueStride rings the moment the parcel arrived: thick solid brass and properly reinforced stitching. It holds my cat-chasing dog without giving an inch. Really reassuring.

My dog used to run off and hide under the sofa the second the step-in harness came out. This one just slips over his head, click-click at the sides, and you're out the door in 3 seconds. Now he sits waiting patiently by the door.

I walk our dog at half six in the morning on pitch-dark paths along the canal before work. The reflective piping lights up bright white as soon as headlights catch it. I also love that I can clip the back ring straight onto our car seatbelt tether. 5 stars.

Doodle owners: no matting under the armpits or on the chest with this lining! And you just slip it over his head and clip the sides. No faffing about with paws through leg holes or curls getting caught in the buckles. Really well thought-out design.

Day 4 with it. Our corgi loves it and it was really easy to put on. It's quickly replaced our other harness.
Yesterday a motorbike shot up onto the pavement right next to us. I grabbed the handle on his back and had my 32-kilo shepherd tight against my leg straight away. No slipping, no drama. Every harness for town walks should have this.
I honestly didn't know what to do with our beagle any more. She pulled so hard I had blisters on my hands from the lead, and I'd come home in tears feeling like a terrible owner. We'd tried a Halti and two trainers, with no luck. On the first walk with this bundle she didn't lunge ahead once. When she wants to bolt, the front clip calmly turns her round. I genuinely enjoy walking her now. Best purchase of the year.
I hated using a prong collar on our shepherd, but with 37 kilos of pure muscle I couldn't hold him any other way. I wasn't sure a harness would work. It does. Zero pulling from him now, and zero guilt for me. Heavy-duty rings and sturdy stitching too.
He always lunged at cyclists. This morning three bikes went past and my Labrador just kept walking by my side. Did the whole loop with my latte in hand. Unbelievable.
If you've got a French Bulldog, you'll know that awful wheezing, choking sound when they pull on a collar. Our vet warned us about damage to the windpipe and told us to look for a proper Y-harness. TrueStride sits low on his breastbone, well away from his throat. Yesterday he breathed completely calmly for the whole half-hour walk, even in the afternoon sun. Such a relief.
Our old harness had stiff straps that rubbed my Vizsla's armpits raw after an hour, until they bled. This one has soft padding and sits further back from his elbows. His bald patches have completely healed. Zero chafing.
The vet said no more collars because of his arthritis. Most harnesses restricted his front legs, but this Y-design leaves his shoulders completely free. He's happily bouncing along again.
You've got questions. We've got answers.
Slip the neck opening over your dog's head, bring the chest piece between the front legs and clip the two side buckles shut around the ribs. No lifting paws: it's on in about 3 seconds.
Measure around the widest part of your dog's ribcage, about 5 cm behind the front legs, then check our size chart. You should be able to slide two fingers comfortably under the straps.
Every order comes with our 100% Free Size Exchange guarantee. Wrong size? Just let us know and we'll send you the right one at no extra cost.
Clip one hook to the ring on the chest and the other to the ring on the back. That way you can steer your dog gently, just like with reins. You can also adjust it into a standard 1.8-metre walking lead, a short lead for traffic or a hands-free lead.
Yes. Clip the seatbelt tether straight onto the sturdy metal ring on the back of the harness. That keeps your dog safely secured on the seat while you drive.
Pop the harness in a laundry bag and wash it cold on a delicate cycle, then hang it up to dry. The breathable mesh is completely dry in about 45 minutes.
You get the complete walking set: 1x TrueStride™ No-Pull Harness, plus four free extras: 1x double-ended training lead (worth £25), the 30-day Anti-Pull Mini Guide (worth £20), 1x treat pouch (worth £10) and 1x poo bag holder that clips onto the lead (worth £8).
You get our 30-Day Wear-and-Walk Trial: if you're not happy with your walks, send the harness back for a full refund. On top of that, you get our lifetime warranty: free replacement for broken buckles, torn stitching and metal defects.
